Biography
I joined the United States Air Force in 2003 as a Cryptologic Language Analyst (or Korean Linguist for short). My service took me to California, Texas, South Korea, and Maryland. Officially exiting the service in 2011, worked as an Analyst for Boeing before moving to the Space Coast of Florida in 2012.
Upon moving to Florida, I joined the Board of Directors for the Melbourne Main Street Association, a 501 C-3 dedicated to the revitalization of our Historic Downtown district. After a few years on the Board of Directors, I spent my time in Marketing and Design, helping local and national companies build their brands.
In my personal life, and in full circle to my roots, I am now the proud wife of an Army Combat Engineer and mother to a wonderful son. In a continued effort to give back to my community, I have volunteered numerous times as a poll worker for both local and federal elections, and I also currently sit on the Board of Directors of a non-profit that helps fight for Animal Rights across the country.
Joining the political sphere is not something I take lightly. I believe in creating a better Florida, a better Country, and ultimately a better World, and I believe the way to do that is by not electing career politicians, but by electing those of us who truly represent the people. Someone who has served this country, overseas and at home. Someone who works hard every day to make a better world for my neighbors and family, and has the backbone to stand up to those in power whenever needed.
Platform & Issues
City government should be transparent, accessible, and accountable to the people it serves. I'll listen to residents, work across differences, and make decisions based on what is best for West Melbourne.
Keep West Melbourne affordable.
Work to keep taxes, fees, and the cost of living manageable while making responsible investments in our community.
Protect the places that make West Melbourne home.
Preserve our parks, green spaces, waterways, and outdoor spaces so families can enjoy them for generations to come.
Invest in our community.
Support safe roads, reliable infrastructure, well-maintained public spaces, and the services residents depend on every day.
Build a stronger, more resilient city.
Invest in hurricane preparedness, drainage, and long-term infrastructure that helps West Melbourne withstand Florida's storms and a changing climate.
Support local businesses.
Encourage responsible economic growth that supports locally owned businesses, creates good jobs, and strengthens our community without losing what makes West Melbourne special.
Work with local and state lawmakers to end 287(g).
